Split Whiskers make a welcome return visit.
They have their roots firmly planted in Chicago Blues, crossing boundaries into rock, Americana and more than a hint of Delta.
The band’s fame is spreading, and rightly so, and they are becoming one of the busiest bands around at blues venues in the UK, in particular in great demand on the Festival circuit.
They will be showcasing numbers from their latest album ’Down In The Swamp’ which was recorded live at The Grapes in Cambridge and Esquires in Bedford last year. The album features some new, original numbers alongside covers from Willie Dixon, BB King, Arthur ‘Big Boy’ Crudup, Calvin Carter and others.
Their superb musicianship along with their infectious humour on stage has made them one of the Crawdaddy’s favourite acts and guarantee a great evening’s entertainment.
The band are fronted by Gilby J. Fletcher on vocals and harp, Johnny ‘Magic Boy’ Wright on guitars and vocals, Matt Willshaw on Keys, Rick Hudson on drums and Robbie Stewart Mathews on bass.
NOT TO BE MISSED!
